COVID-19: An Illustrated Scientific Summary

Are you wondering what happens in your body when it’s exposed to coronavirus? Yale School of Medicine PhD student Clara Liao explains how coronavirus turns cells in your bodies into virus-making machines. The video also shows how infection leads to symptoms like dry cough, fever, and difficulty in breathing, how the immune system sometimes fights off coronavirus disease, and what happens when it’s a losing battle. Clara Liao is a first-year PhD student in Yale’s Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program. She is interested in the molecular mechanisms of neuropsychiatric disorders and molecular neuropharmacology.
